Composition of the ICC

The Committee is constituted with a majority of women members, and includes an external member, as required by the POSH Act:

Sexual Harassment Committee - Polytechnic

Note: The actual names and current members should be updated by the college administration to ensure legal compliance.

Mandate and Objectives

• Prevent instances of sexual harassment in the college premises.
• Receive, inquire into, and redress complaints effectively.
• Recommend appropriate action against the accused party.
• Organize awareness programs for employees and students.

Definition of Sexual Harassment

Sexual harassment includes physical contact, demands for sexual favors, sexually colored remarks, showing pornography, or any other unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature.

Complaint Procedure

Complaints should be made in writing within three months of the incident. The identity of the aggrieved person and the proceedings are strictly confidential.
